Netbooks are available from leading computer makers such as Acer, Asustek, HP and more. The netbook have a wide range of products and attractive prices, especially for students and professionals.

Netbooks are available in the classic clamshell design, displays ranging from 7 to 12 inch, weighing from 2 to 3.5 pounds. Inside, Netbooks comes similar hardware on a standard laptop – processor, graphics, RAM, hard drive, USB ports,  etc. But the hardware on netbook is slower in terms of performances than the one on a laptop.

Most netbooks can offer battery life of 5 to 8 hours from a 6 Cell battery. And there are some capable of 12-14 hours on a single charge.

Lastly, netbooks are not just smaller than laptops, they have less computing power and long battery life. If you need more computing power, get a laptop. If you want a lighter weight version of a computer for essential internet access, a netbook might just be for you.
